The BSIF is set to release findings in February highlighting concerns about outdated and poorly maintained PPE in workplaces across the UK. Initial feedback points to troubling trends in PPE maintenance and usage:

Ripped clothing and defunct respiratory protection still in use, leaving workers vulnerable to hazardous environments.
These early observations underline the risks of prioritising cost over compliance and highlight the dangers of misuse and poor-fitting PPE in the workplace.
