Sustainable Materials

The Bertee Ecowear range is manufactured using at least 50% recycled polyester per garment, in line with the GRS Recycled Blend Standard, with no impact on the quality or durability of the garment.

The recycled polyester used in Bertee Eco products is Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified, which means the recycled content has been tracked from source to the final product. This certification is considered to be one of the strongest ways to confirm the integrity of sustainability claims. GRS is managed by a third-party organisation, Textile Exchange, who ensure that the company, product, or process is compliant with the relevant recycling standards.

Not only this, but Bertee has ensured that the manufacturing supply chain and transportation for their top selling trousers have delivered a 52% saving on CO2 emissions from the non-eco alternative.

Made to Last

Bertee has comfort, durability, and sustainability at its core, which is why every product has the Bertee Lifetime Value Guarantee* for all zips, seams, and fastenings. This Lifetime Guarantee is supported by a combination of quality fabrics used in construction. The high-quality materials used to construct Bertee garments are central to the reliability of the product, so you can have confidence that your Bertee workwear will last.

This makes Bertee Ecowear a more sustainable choice in more than just one way as, with products that last, you won’t need to replace your workwear as often. Buying less workwear is both economically and environmentally friendly and means that you’re not contributing as largely to garment waste.

Workwear Recycling

Bertee Ecowear is sustainable from the beginning to end of its life cycle, which is why all Bertee products can be recycled through ShredStation. ShredStation is an award-winning shredding service provider, with awards including the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award, 2023 – due to Shred Station’s 96% positive customer feedback.

Garment recycling is available through PWS, as Bertee’s sole distributor. For more information on workwear recycling, please visit our Uniform Disposal page.
