As Silver members of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, PWS are dedicated to learning about and implementing effective strategies towards environmentally friendly business practices.
The school is designed to upskill those working within the built environment sector and covers 17 key topics of Sustainability, as well as addressing Digital, FIR, Lean Construction, Management, Offsite, People and Procurement.
Being a member of the Supply Chain School means we gain useful insight into current sustainability and environmental issues, including carbon and climate change, social value, sustainable procurement, and more. This allows us to stay up to date with sustainability news and incorporate this into our Environmental Management System.
We’re committed to monitoring sustainability throughout our supply chain and have a goal to transition to a fully Closed Loop System which will see all clothing and workwear we supply recycled back into garments and clothing. Recycling garments is already being implemented through our partnership with Shred Station.
Through Supply Chain School membership, we attend training workshops, networking events and complete e-Learning modules that all contribute towards our Silver status. This also requires us to complete an annual assessment, to ensure we are keeping up to date with our efforts towards sustainable practice.
PWS are working towards achieving a Gold membership status, and encourage our customers and suppliers to sign up to make positive steps towards sustainability in their business.
Free membership is accessible to everyone, and gives you access to over 4,000 learning resources, including CPD-accredited events. Plus, you can include your membership badge in tenders, pitches, email signatures, and other marketing materials to highlight your commitment to those outside of your organisation. Sign up as a team for your organisation, or as an individual, to start learning and create action plans to support continuous improvement.
